BEFORE YOUR DENTAL REVIEW
Panoramic X-ray
A recent panoramic image can provide a broad view of teeth, jaws and existing dental work. Send the original digital file when possible, not only a screenshot inside a message.
CBCT, when available
For implant planning, 3D imaging may show bone and nearby structures that a panoramic image cannot. Existing DICOM files are useful, but the Beijing dentist may still require new imaging.
Clear dental photographs
Take front, left and right smile views, close views of the teeth together and clear images of the areas causing concern. Use good light and avoid beauty filters.
Previous dental records
Include useful treatment notes, implant identification, crown or veneer details, previous imaging and information about recent complications or failed treatment.
Medical history and medication
List diagnoses, allergies, current medicines and supplements, previous reactions, smoking or vaping and anything your dentist or doctor has asked you to disclose before treatment.
Treatment goals and concerns
Explain the main problem, desired result, previous advice, time available in Beijing and what worries you most. This helps the review address decisions that matter to you.
WHAT A PRE-TRAVEL REVIEW CAN AND CANNOT DO
The clinical team can identify likely options, missing information and questions to resolve before travel. Diagnosis, final treatment, timing and price are confirmed only after the treating dentist examines you and reviews appropriate imaging.
Send only what is relevant
Dental images and health information are sensitive. Use the agreed submission route, check that files belong to you, and avoid including unrelated identity or medical documents.
