Set up the practical parts of a Beijing trip before departure so clinic days are not spent solving payment, navigation or connectivity problems. Keep backup options: a phone can lose power, a bank can decline a transaction and an app can require additional verification.

Mobile payments plus a backup

China’s official payment guide says overseas visitors can use mobile payments, bank cards and cash. Alipay and Weixin Pay support linking eligible international cards, but acceptance and verification can vary. Complete setup before travel, notify your card issuer and carry a second payment method.

Airport transfers and clinic-day rides

Official Beijing guidance lists taxi queues, airport subway links, shuttle buses and ride-hailing as arrival options. Save the clinic and hotel names and addresses in Chinese.
